Always in polls a 2% mark is missing.Like Yes and no and another one there will be let's say Yes 35 answers no 35 anwers and the other 28 answers.

Interesting. The forum software appears to be rounding down to the nearest percentage in all cases. Perhaps they felt that it's better to err on the low side than risk getting a poll where they add up to over 100%, which would be possible with ordinary rounding.

Say we had real percentages:

A: 0.6%
B: 0.6%
C: 98.8%
=100%

Ordinarily that'd be rounded to:

A: 1%
B: 1%
C: 99%
=101%

As the forum does it I think it'd come out as:

A: 0%
B: 0%
C: 98%
=98%

In the best case, where there all poll response percentages are integers we'll get 100% but in any other case it'll come out less.

I think it's an emotive thing; they're working on the principle that people are happier with a less accurate rounding that returns a low total than with the awful, shocking, impossible, staggering idea of the percentage going over 100%. ^^

It's called "Rounding Error" - it's common in systems that use integer division instead of floating-point.
