I don't know how many you are fans of "House M.D.", but for those who are: have you ever wondered whether Greg is an Aspie? The great insights, the difficulty with relationships, the voluntary loneliness, throwing a ball agains the wall to help thinking... What do you think?

I was actually considering asking this question last night, he might just be...but obviously very high functioning.

It was even said in Lines of the Sand episode that he doesn't have it, he is just an as*hole and he wants to have it so he have an excuse to be one.

I'm that high functioning. Being high functioning does not exclude you from social dysfunction.

House is a psychopath or a normal person which have developed into a sociopath (issues with his father and the pain that wont go away). He has no respect for other peoples space, he is impulsive, aggressive, no empathy whatsoever he saves people to indulge himself - what he projects is more of a learned behaviour (he KNOWS that some things are wrong). He also is not asocial, he is anti-social. His behaviour drives people away out of fear for him.

I'm not a shrink, but THAT is not diagnostic criterias for Aspergers, it is textbook anti-social personality disorder.

He is far to aware of social information and delights in using it against people.

Definitely not aspie. More psychopath or sociopath without a trail of bodies in his wake.

Nah. I don't he have Asperger's syndrome. He's just being himself: insane, clever, smart and bold. That's my opinion. House is one crazy but smart doctor.

I think I agree with that.

Yeah. When House was born the doctors couldn't figure out which end was up so they slapped his face instead of his butt. s**t's been coming out of the wrong end ever since.

To quote myself from another topic:

Quote:
Gregory House is just a narcissistic dickhead, not an Aspie. I saw the episode "Lines in the Sand" with the autistic boy, and Dr. Wilson agreed with me: "You're not autistic. You don't even have Asperger's. You're just a jerk."

Quote:
As for House, he did have enough things in common with the autistic boy to connect with him, but no psychologist would ever diagnose House as an Aspie. He's just a dick, and he knows it. If you want to see what House would be like if he did have AS, watch the BBC show Sherlock.

If you go to sociopathworld, you will see they have already rightly bagged him as one of theirs.

Sociopath world??

LOL. That's rich.

But wouldn't a true sociopath not want anyone to know they were sociopathic? Wouldn't that limit their options for doing sociopath stuff?
