*Werbert walks alone on a smoky, crater-filled battlefield. He clutches his backpack in his weary arms, his tattered clothes flapping in the breeze. Nearby lay the broken and shattered corpses of math, business, and accounting.*

But wait...

*The three corpses stir. Slowly, math reaches for his saber, in a last ditch attempt to defeat Werbert. Our hero notices and pulls out a pencil, ready to strike. Math raises the saber as Accounting and Business reload their weapons. Werbert lunges to attack....*

To be continued... :?:

OMG 8O

I hope Werbert has a feasability analysis with wild yet plausible assumptions with which to defeat Accounting and Business. (does Werbert know of the witch doctor-chicken entrails analogy).

can't see it on the net. It was in an academic paper some time ago.

In (past times in) African villages, before the village undertakes any significant work, the witch dr sacrifices a chicken and looks at it entrails to see if it is a good thing to do.

Before a modern business does a project, the accountant does a feasability.

If the African village goes wrong, the excuse is it was the wrong chicken (or had bad devils in the chicken etc).

If the business goes wrong, the excuse is it was the wrong assumptions in the model.

The paper argued that accountants are modern day witch doctors. I don't give it justice here.

Feasability analysis is heap powerful medicine. I hope you have one in your armoury.
