...making 1000 posts on a forum and not getting a single tiny reply on it ever in your life!

Yeah. I often feel like an outsider here, but then I try my luck on other forums, and it's much worse. :)

I wasn't talking about this forum, this forum is heaven to me, but so far all the other forums (NT ones) I've been on, it's been like that.

WP is the best forum that I've been a member of. :)

...opening 100 fortune cookies and having them all be death threats or crude references to parts best left unmentioned. WP is easily the best forum community I've ever come across, I never knew that large groups of aspies would be so good at fending off the trolls that lurk in lesser forums.

Give it time, you'll get responses--you're getting one now! :-D

I am not interested in being part of the general public social sites like Face Book, and I keep in touch with relatives by phone and email, so this is my only real online social site. I like Wrong Planet. True, I disagree with, or am uncomfortable with some of the topics, but it does provide a wide variety of sub forums for people on the spectrum, including, but definitely not limited to spectrum issues. Although most of my posts have been responses to spectrum issues, I have requested computer help from the WP computer sub forum a couple of times, and checked out a few of the other sub forums, too. I recommend you stay with WP, and check out more of the sub forums. You can still check out other sites, too. I have logged onto other site forums a few times, but they were topic specific. I recall that one was a home repair and maintenance site, and another was a Jeep Cherokee site. I had a problem with a gas furnace and, later, I wanted to know which car battery terminal on my Cherokee was positive and which was negative, so I could hook up a new portable power pack to jump start the dead car. I am neither a computer or car geek, so I do sometimes need help with these things. I did get the battery info I needed, and successfully jump started the car without zapping myself. :-)

Just follow your interests online. There are a lot of forums at WP, as well as many other non-spectrum sites with forums, and social networks to research and enjoy. And remember, we on the spectrum are all:

A Different Drummer

If a man does not keep pace with his companions,
Perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer.
Let him step to the music which he hears,
However measured or far away.

--Henry David Thoreau

...Being mangy, solitary wolf who lives among dogs.

I love this forum. There is also another site that I love to post on. It is nice to able to speak your opinion without people judging me by what I am.

Being an Aspie in an NT world is like a dog being raised by a family of cats but the cats don't realize I'm a dog. Cats can not comprehend why I can not climb things like them or why I bark instead of meow along with lots of other differences

Being an aspie in a NT world is like being a goldfish in a tank full of piranhas.

It's like being a man in a world filled with just women.

Being a goldfish in a tank with a bunch of weird, moody, nippy beta fish.

Being an Aspie in an NT world is like being an amoeba who's trying to crochet. And being watched. And critiqued.

Being an aspie in an NT world feels like being A Pinkie Pie at a party in Canterlot, surrounded by boring high-society ponies.
Or Fluttershy in a world of impatient Rainbow Dashes.

I have no idea why that just popped up in my mind.
