Hi everyone.

I think it's hard with internet forums for people to acknowledge everyone. Everyone is welcome here.

Yay! :D

Wonderful and right on da so-called money :)

I don't feel fit to post here, though...because I am far more social irl (not saying I'm GOOD at irl chatting, tho, lol) than online.

I can't really reply to other posts well, cuz' OMGBRAINSPLODEYS there's SO many, and SO many I'd want to reply to! It kinda feels like the "mailroom" of *insert diety of choice here*. Not religious, as many aren't anymore, but I use such analogies for the sake of sheer "abstraction" or, in this case...Overwhelming amount of content :p

I actually hit a wall of being too social, and wanting to talk to, and learn about, like...so MANY ppl that my brain just makes a funny, sizzling whoopee cushion sound, and I find myself running to my "offline" pets, or rock collecting, despite myself \xD

Well anyways...I digress..

What I wanna say if this idea isn't "genius", it's at least fairly close. And really...even better, it's tackling one of those issues everyone knows about, but doesn't wanna mention.

U see the problem, u STATE the problem, and THEN, most importantly, you TACKLE the problem in a way thats non-confrontational, AND WORKS.

Thumbs up!

I am unpopular everywhere. It is actually better or worse to be unpopular among autistics / on autism sites than out in the neurotypical world? Either way.

I enjoy reading your posts. Why do you think you're unpopular here? :D

^ Just a general assumption. Not to be confused with particularly caring one way or another.
But also, unfortunately, this site is getting very exclusive with people's little "cliques." I don't clique.

Me too. I have never been part of any kind of "clique" before. I am also much more social online than in person.

I've never been part of any "in crowd," nor do I want to be. I am getting to be more social and I have been told I was a nice person.

I'm only social on Kik. It's like a chat service.

I am curious, what do you mean, is there an example you could give? I know what clique means I just haven't seen it.

Maybe they mean the Ferrets or WP Anonymous threads. Those are kind of like cliques :D .

I definitely feel unpopular on forums as large as WP. Back when I was in high school (oh so long ago it feels!), I was a regular member on a few small to medium-sized forums, and we all grew so close! We would chat all day in Random Discussion and just enjoy online friendship. Now, I never forge these kinds of bonds on forums, unless there has been a chat room on the forum. I can actually talk to people in a chat room!

I'm unpopular everywhere. Zero friends IRL, about 2-3 friends online, and that's about it. My city is dead for making friends. I have a friend who lives in the same city as me and he has the same issue in the same age group. Unless you're a uni student out on the town all week, you won't meet anybody. It offers nothing here except student nightlife. I don't have the option of moving to a different city either :(

I hope one day I'll make some friends IRL.

I am also unpopular too. Sometimes, people here on Wrong Planet are interested in replies to topics I participate in, but it does not seem to happen very often. No one has ever wanted to be my friend on here either. I never had any friends growing up, and it is still very hard for me to make friends anywhere. When I was younger, nobody ever socialised with me in school or in my neighbourhood. My parents signed me up for social groups for other kids with autism, and none of them really liked me much either.

More recently, I have been attempting to meet people in my community on meetup.com, and I have had to leave some of them because I was no one ever talked to me. I was also in a car club, and no one was interested in me or my car, and no one ever talked to me there, so I just quit going to that club.

The only other online forum I have participated in was on a web site all about one of my special interests, and I would still be on it today, but something unfortunate happened between me & one of the other members, so I stopped posting on it.
