My OS takes forever to boot, and I think someone overclocked my processor. I'm also very low on RAM.

I think I'm like Linux with WINE installed. I can do nearly everything that an NT can do, but there are still a few things that I struggle with.

To me it seems some Windows OS would apply. Since I'm ver visual/image oriented.

Just saying..

The TCP/UDP comparison seems very applicable! The biggest problem is communication. If you take a subject like Philosophy even NT's systemize things to extremes to explain them, and thats pretty deep "how humans work" stuff.

So I don't think we use another OS. We just lack a lot of "usability" add-ons perhaps? Or run with a few services/protocols disabled too many? Like "fast user switching" or "SSDP discovery service" ;)

Off topic: I'm DOS myself. No multitasking, no visual output and minimal built-in networking support.

The UDP/TCP analogy is fairly accurate - having a foreign accent contributes to a lot of NAK's and/or packet loss, though I also have problems at the datalink layer - too many collisions as others transmit when I try to transmit. By then, the cache has already been overwritten, causing a page fault and a need to go to long term storage (which while having very little corruption, can be quite slow at times) when trying to retransmit

In simple terms, I get interrupted a lot during a conversation and then forget what I was trying to say when I was interrupted

Hold on while I check my ruler, compass, calculator, dictionary, thesaurus, encyclopedia, and other implements and resources. I should be caught up with the rest of you in a minute or two...
