Bad King John

'A very English black ale' it says on the label.

It also says (with original capitals): BAD KING JOHN IS BLACK.....BITTER.....INTENSE.....LIKE THE RUTHLESS MAN IT HONOURS. DO NOT COME HERE LOOKING FOR SUBTLETY!

There probably isn't much subtlety. There is a strange taste though, possibly chemical in origin. Reminded me of Germolene for some reason....This is one to cross off the list for future purchases at any rate.

Hatherwood 'Purple Panther Porter', LOL.

Well, it's a good deal better than the stuff I had yesterday, and at just two-thirds of the price.

Have only come across the 'Hatherwood' brand at Lidl supermarkets: maybe it's an in-house label.

A lot of tea. Welcome to my party!

As soon as they give me back my citizenship it's agitated Luksosowa dry martinis on me. You guize should pick the olive tree, the west bank has some good ones. :jester:

Last time my friends & I had a drink about anything we belligerently subsumed corrupt global enterprise.

Enough antisocial networking. Bye Jack, later Zuck, seeya Bill, that's enough Sergei, I have nothing of Timmy's, this is actual cooking, you guys working for Donald disgusts me. Your fake internet fiefdom lost you everybody.

Salt??? Never heard of it. Pardon me while I give myself permission to have yet another coffee, this time black with salt. How much salt? Half a cup? It just occurred to me - both coffee and salt are verboten. How do you feel after?
