Maybe this is just an Australian thing, but who remembers those great old shows from the early 90's. This is when I was growing up, and I remember watching things like Captain Planet, Widget, Super Ted, Freaky Stories, the Trap Door (on ABC). So damn good, why can't they have them back? These days such crap is on that channel.

What did you guys watch/love watching when you were kids?

I saw Tiny Toon Adventures and Animaniacs. THose shows had a very unique sense of humor. Both were directed by Steven Spielberg.

Actually I remember Super Ted and Trap Door from the 80s as well. (When I was growing up) I don't think it's just an Australian thing, because most of those you mentioned are British (Super Ted is Welsh) except for Captain Planet which is American.

I remember when I was little we used to watch Super Ted and I learnt the introduction off by heart and used to race the narrator to see how fast I could say the whole thing.

When I was six or so there was Ulysses on the TV, which was a space age version of the Odyssey. And there was another called Cities of Gold. Both of those went on forever. I also watched a lot of Astro Boy and Kimba. But that was all in the mid '80s.
