The guy will say anything because he is desperate. he wants to get elected so bad, It almost reminds me of a few family members I know
They were so desperate to get married that they slept with someone who had hepatitis C, to wich now they probably have it.

Being desperate will indeed make you do really stupid stuff

What's unusual is that it doesn't happen gradually or after long periods of time. With Romney you often don't even need some investigative journalist digging through old news clippings, you haven't had time to forget his previous position in the first place.

And he can never admit he does it, he just goes into denial and waits for it to blow over.

As long as he flip-flops on marijuana legalization I could care less. Once America has the sense to end "The War on drugs" the rest of the western world will follow.
