I depends on the person doing it. Someone I have romantic feeling for? Love that, but even most of my family I just get a bit tense about it. Unfortunately, all my Cousin's wives seem to enjoy hugging me. Ugh!

Sincerely,
Matthew

a good hug is like having a key part of oneself temporally transported to heaven. :)

I love good hugs because I never got any as a kid.

Love hugging my friends, the occasional sex partner (especially if he turns out to be great in bed), and my kitties.

I am usually down for a tight hug.

A light hug is like a loose sock: Agonizing.

Tight pressure makes my sensory issues go less.
My therapist is using it now at me manually and after 15 to 30 minutes I get more relaxed, because my heart rate is going down and breathing becomes easier and I can concentrate better on what she is saying.
Also it makes my stimming get less, as I usually stim the whole session.
Tight pressure or tight hugs make me feel, that my body has physical boundaries and I feel like being "more kept together" like after a while it helps me to feel distincted from everything around me better, at least for a while.
With all the incoming stimuli from environment it is hard for me to feel that I have physical boundaries which separates me from the environmental stimuli and I literally get lost in it, which can eventually make me to bump into people on the street.
I only tolerate being touched by someone I trust completely and when I get told being touched before, otherwise it makes things even worse.

I like hard touch and tight hugs because light touch and gentle hugs drive me crazy. Ironically I can even get claustrophobic from gentle hugs, while tight hugs don't do that - and neither does going into tight spaces.

I love being hugged tightly, by certain people. Whenever I have a meltdown or an anxiety attack, if with my boyfriend, I have him hold me tightly and rock me back and forth until I calm down. It sounds juvenile, but it works.

the thought of being stuck in a tight place makes my skin crawl and fills me with dread.
