specifically: A place with no common walls or too close to neighbors and well ventilated.

generally: A cooler place where the humidity isn't too high, good air, easy places to get outside away from crowds/alone/artificial sounds and commune with nature.

If we are speaking in terms of a country, I'd say Iceland. That place is an Aspie paradise! :D

Alaska or Nova Scotia. Either would do really.

Larger cities might be better than rural areas. Cities are amalgamations of people from all segments of the population. "Odd" individuals don't stand out so much.

I just moved to Seattle for the weather, then I find out I'm light sensitive because I'm an aspie. So far, it was a great decision. The weather is easier on the eyes--lots of overcast days. And there are lots of aspie resources in the area. With so much tech influence and tech families, the rate of Asperger's is higher in Seattle, so you have more experts on it.

Did you live far away from Seattle before you moved? I ask because I currently live in Michigan, plan on going to college in Grand Rapids, but am undecided where I'd like to go after finishing school. I've always been attracted to the Seattle region but am hesitant to move far away. Who knows?

"Life On Mars?"

It's a god-awful small affair
To the girl with the mousy hair
But her mummy is yelling "No"
And her daddy has told her to go
But her friend is nowhere to be seen
Now she walks
through her sunken dream
To the seat with the clearest view
And she's hooked to the silver screen
But the film is a saddening bore
For she's lived it
ten times or more
She could spit in the eyes of fools
As they ask her to focus on

[CHORUS]
Sailors fighting in the dance hall
Oh man!
Look at those cavemen go
It's the freakiest show
Take a look at the Lawman
Beating up the wrong guy
Oh man! Wonder if he'll ever know
He's in the best selling show
Is there life on Mars?

It's on America's tortured brow
That Mickey Mouse
has grown up a cow
Now the workers
have struck for fame
'Cause Lennon's on sale again
See the mice in their million hordes
From Ibeza to the Norfolk Broads
Rule Britannia is out of bounds
To my mother, my dog, and clowns
But the film is a saddening bore
'Cause I wrote it
ten times or more
It's about to be writ again
As I ask you to focus on

[CHORUS]
Dring-dring-dring......
[Mind the phone]

As long as they're not in Downtown Eastside Vancouver, which is the worst place for aspies. Google Images says it all.

Heterogeneity is our friend. An oddball in a box of assorted oddballs doesn't seem so - er - odd.

Central Valley school district of Spokane Valley, Washington. Here, my daughter receives great special education geared specifically toward children with autism. There are other school systems in the area, though, that leave much to be desired.

I had the idea once that maybe i could find the most friendly place and settle there (as a life goal). I'm not so sure because friendly doesn't imply a good kind of friendly from my perspective
