This might be a slightly weird topic, but I really need advice on this one. I'm a girl with AS, and one thing that is really bothering me is female underwear. Here's the problem: I don't like the way it sticks to me, and that often results in awkward shifting and fidgeting. I usually wear normal briefs made of a very elastic fabric with no lace and stuff attached. I always wear pantyliners because if I don't it sticks even worse. But it still sticks! It feels uncomfortable and awkward, I can never sit in a chair without constant shifting, and even when walking I have to make awkward movements to get it out of the way. My question to all aspie girls here is, what should I do about this? Is there any type of underwear that has helped you with similar problems?

Do you mean the underwear gets stuck in your butcrack?

I have these elastan-cotton boxers,

They don't shift, stick, don't get in your butcrack, or other glorious things. I love 'em :P

I'm NT, so maybe I can't help much as far as relating, but have you tried different types of fabric? Cotton, satin, etc.? I doubt it will completely solve the problem, but it might help a little.

Or, if you don't wear skirts, you might be able to simply not wear underwear (when you aren't on your period). I knew a girl who did that. As long as you're wear pants or shorts, no one should be able to tell. But vaginal discharge might be a problem, I suppose.

I find underwear uncomfortable and never wear them unless I need to wear a pad to catch stuff coming out of me.

Well, the butt thing isn't that much of a problem, I mean they kinda stick to my 'lady parts' if you know what I mean. It's really uncomfortable...

Yeah I hate it when my underwear gets stuck to my lady parts and really tugs and pulls on the skin. Owwwww >< It's worse when you're in public because you can't do anything about it D:

I wear mens loose boxers because I hate the tight feeling of underwear, but it does still happen.

Ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh... I hate underwear, lol.

I wear bikini style that don't ride; I have to flip them inside-out in order to achieve maximum comfort.

I wear cotton or hosiery cotton underwear which has no elastic and is not stretchy. I also wear them 2 sizes bigger. I like the string bikini types as they dont cling and dont ride. But that is for me.

What i would suggest is try different brands till you can find the one that you are most comfortable with. I get all these only with 1 brand so i generally stock them by ordering in bulk.

I wear underwear designed for dancers - it seems to be more ergonomic. And going up a size seems to help with sticking.

Victoria's Secret and Bali are good brands due to printing the tag on the fabric, covering the elastic in fabric, and having smooth finished seams. I don't think Bali makes anything in cotton though. The cotton ones should stick less because natural fibers breathe and absorb sweat and can evaporate it too. The silky ones don't breathe, so they stick to you like one of those plastic decals sticks to glass when you sweat, or whatever.
Using a drying powder (like Mexsana or Goldbond) on yourself before putting on your underwear can really help prevent underwear from being irritating, but the underwear will shift more if it's sized too large. A lot of southerners in the US use powder to deal with the stickiness from the heat and humidity.

I take a glass candy dish with a lid (the size of a powder puff box) and pour the powder into that, and take the puff out of some other perfume powder thing (that I've probably been given as a gift and will never use...pharmacies with makeup depts often carry just the puffs) and viola!...pretty refillable unscented drying powder applicator. The powder can prevent chafing and heat rash too.

That actually sounds like the underwear I normally wear, it doesn't have tags and all. I bought it at a store called 'HEMA' though, it's kinda like Marks&Spencer. Powder actually sounds like something that could work, would baby powder also work? I sometimes use that against itch 'down there' and it really works for that.

Oh by the way the one i use are from Jockey. I think it is an international brand so you should be able to get it in any country.

I would absolutely suggest the cotton string bikini ones. They are perfect :-) No tags, no elastic and the edges are cloth covered so the seams also dont hurt. If you buy larger size like me, there should be no sticking.
