What;s going on everyone..I'm 22 and I have always struggled making friends and I have never had a gf(sigh lol). I have been diagnosed with aspergers for many many years but was in denial probably until I was 17. Anyway, I graduate from college this week and I will be more socially isolated than ever. I was thinking of joining an aspergers group with the hope that I' find a gf or some friends, and if that doesn't happen I'd learn what I'm doing wrong from the group leaders.

Has anybody ever been to these?

Go to meetup.com and search for a group. I know San Francisco has several groups for Aspies to meet in the real world. I don't know what city you live in, but meetup has a lot of groups when it comes to large cities.

Welcome! I don't really have anything to say on-topic, but I'd personally say this subforum in particular may not be the most fitting for this topic.

i found some groups from a place called aspen..im not a fan of meetup.com.
IM just not sure if they would be a good place for MeeTING friends, and my most important goal of attaining a gf.

I go to our local metro aspie-autie-adult support group (found out about it a couple years ago on another website).

We meet once a month at a classy asian restraurant, and have guest speakers or the like. Discussions of issues.

Twenty to thirty people occupying several tables arrive.

You learn about other activities folks are having. Just started it. Its good.

You should look up any support groups that might be in your area.
