Cosplay is one of my fave hobbies, though I'm more of the casual types than the ones who take it seriously. From 2006-9, I cosplayed exclusively Shonen Jump characters, but since then I've branched out.

Since I cannot sew to save my life, I tend to buy my costumes, or make simple ones.

Does anybody like this hobby?

I went to the official Doctor Who convention in March as the 11th Doctor, but I'm not seriously into cosplay.

I have considered doing it, and would first time cosplay as either Jayne (Firefly), or Thor (Thor film). Of course, being bearded by nature, it limits my options, but I would never wear these cheapo-cheapo costumes I've seen some people with.

I'd be casual, but serious bout it. Why make a fool of myself?

I hate bad cosplay that absolutely butchers beloved characters. That would be me, assuming I decided to do it.

I've always wanted to cosplay Edward Elric as a 1980s-era San Diego Charger- but getting the stuff for it is nigh-expensive, and I'm not THAT short! (5' 9", if anybody cares; I'll provide a conceptual sketch in the near-future.)

I could use ideas for future cosplay; pictures of what I look like can be seen in the "Post of pic of yourself!" thread elsewhere on this forum.

I have thought about Durarara's Izaya Orihara, on that note....

I just got into cosplay this year! I went to a comicon in May as Kaylee and my friend went as Simon (from Firefly) =)
