Hopefully, and with a bit of luck, this is in the past. However "Irish-Americans" (I never understood that: if you were born in America and have lived there your entire life, you're American! Your ancestors coming over from Ireland or anywhere else 300 years ago does not make you 'Irish' or 'Scottish' or whatever) still funded terrorism. When terrorism happens to them see how quickly they change their tune...

I was just kidding Larsen after midnight 31/12 will be the beginning of 2007, I don't think 7 is an unlucky number for the UK. People took the bombing in their stride really and got on with it, future terrorist attacks have been forecast but I think there is more danger crossing the road on Oxford Street the bendy buses are lethal or consuming radioactive suishi at Piccadilly Circus! Fear is the greatest weapon that the terrorists possess, so Londoners refuse to succumb.

Doesn't stop the government ramping up the fear to justify further removals of liberty though does it?

I feel your pain, and do does Ruby.

People like that aren't worth being friends with. Isn't there any tours that you can take with a tour-group away from those fools? You should break it off with those people.

Hugs from me, and rubs, whimpers and kisses from Ruby.

You've never heard of The Troubles (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Troubles)? And it was in the news around the world. This only finished about ten years ago. Granted, most of the terrorist attacks took place in Northern Ireland and not in Great Britain but obviously murdering people is very serious, no matter where they come from.

I remember going to London in the seventies there were warnings all over the place that if you saw a parcel or a bag not belonging to anyone to alert the authorities. And when you went to a museum your bags were searched. Yeah, the british are used to this, and they don't panic as easily as the americans.

And I agree with Teqiula and CokneyRebel, just don't hang out with them.
