Marty Friedman, ex-guitarist of megadeth started doing j-pop as well. Google something like "Marty Firedman J-pop" and you should get some results. You might not find downloads, but information about which songs you can download

yeah soulseek in my experience has been the best for more fringe-y tastes.
I got a lot of good Pillows stuff off there a while back...
