I bought 11 PS2 memory cards for a total of £8.25 at a branch of Cash Converters this afternoon, then obtained £17.60 in exchange vouchers for them at the CEX store a couple of hundred yards away. I was quite pleased with this good little 'off the bat' arbitrage trade, but I doubt whether Lloyd Blankfein will come knocking anytime soon.....

Bought a Lenovo ThinkPad T430 laptop for £90 from a pawnshop. It has an i5 processor, a respectable 4 GB memory and an SSD hard drive. The only downsides are that the hard drive is just 120 GB and it has a Windows 10 'upgrade' from the original Windows 7 (if that's a downside). Seems to be in excellent condition and to work perfectly (with around 5 hours YouTubing on the battery as well). Too good to be true?
