HELP ME! I am anxious
I am feeling anxious all the time. I do take medication for it, benzodiazepines, 4 times daily, but it is not enough for me, I go to regular visits at my psychologist and psychiatrist, but it is still not enough for me.
I would like to know if there are any additional NATURAL methods for me to stop anxiety.
I can't even watch a TV documentary about underwater worlds, without feeling anxious. I can't do anything. Whats the solution?
I'm anxious for life, death, eating, hunger, feeling sleepy or feeling "too awake".
I've been sick with anxiety for more than 3 months now, and I feel like I am stressed, while I actually is just away from my job, because I've been sick, so there is nothing for me to do. So nothing stresses me... except this continous anxiety. I'm feeling like i have a huge burden, but there is nothing.
Imagine you are a soldier in World War 1, and is waiting to Go Over The Top. Thats the feeling in my stomach I have all the time. But I am no ww1 soldier, I am in a comfortable house with social educators and other health care-related workers around me, yet I feel like this. Tell me, what I can do to overcome this.

Avoid alcohol.
Talk to friends and/or family.
Seek hugs and affection if you like physical contact.
Go out in the sun whenever you can. The special lamps used to treat SAD might help, too.
Simplify your life. Throw away anything that you don't really need.
Try to maintain a routine, even if you're not at work. Get enough sleep, but don't loaf around in bed all day. Eat at regular times.
HOWEVER, it may also be necessary to do something new and interesting to break up your cycle of worrying. Maybe go to a show or a sports game, or find a new hobby, or visit some relatives for a few days. I am sure someone would help you with the cost, if that's an issue.
I don't know of any vitamins or supplements with proven benefits for anxiety. St. John's Wort seems to have a very strange effect on a lot of Aspies (it can be badly counter-productive), so I'd give that a miss. A multivitamin a day is always a good idea, anyway, particularly if you don't feel like eating much at the moment. I take Omega-3 fish oil with folic acid as this might be associated with brain activity (nothing proven, though).
Overcoming Depression by Paul Gilbert is a good book to try. Anxiety and depression are very closely linked, so I think it's relevant. Alternatively I'd recommend something daft like Round Ireland with a Fridge by Tony Hawks for a bit of escapism.
If you are like me, your brain is tied up trying to solve a problem which it has perceived, and the problem is that you're anxious. Basically, you're stuck in a loop. Seek help from everyone who is trustworthy enough, and maybe try to work things out a bit... but in the long run you'll probably just have to get yourself to the stage where you can think "s**t happens!", shrug your shoulders and move on. There isn't necessarily an all-singing, all-dancing ANSWER out there for you. The trick is in accepting that this doesn't matter.
Good luck!

Do you have PTSD?I have read that some people with AS actually have neg.(opposite) reaction to some meds, perhaps your med is at to high of a dose and causing increase of anxiety?
Another option,is that the anxiety has a physiological cause.Having hyperthyroid will put you in constant state of fight or flight.Have a thyroid test done,if that is the issue it can be treated.I agree that exercise can help with anxiety....weight lifting and yoga have been some what effective for me in the past.
