I've had musical hallucinations before: you know, where it sounded like there was music playing in the distance even though there wasn't.

Not sure if that happens to anyone else.

Yes, that's happened to me too.

Also when my husband stops playing the guitar (he is learning at the moment and plays the same piece of music over and over) I carry on hearing the music playing for about an hour afterwards.

I've heard sounds others couldn't hear because when i ask about it, they be clueless what I'm talking about. I can hear the TV being on even with the sound is off. My brother can tell too and he's NT. I thought everyone could hear it. It's hard for me to know when I am hearing something others can't hear. When others can hear the same sounds I'm hearing, I don't even know if they are louder to my ears or not.

actually I pick up a lot of things with my hearing. I used to leave my computer on when I went to bed, something about the sound sit made sounded nice... I woke up at 3 AM hearing an irregular hum, I had gotten a popup. Found out I had spyware and deleted it promptly. Then went back to bed.

yah, i also hear high-pitched sounds, like when the TV's still on, things like that. Some people don't seem to hear that sounds.

Sometimes I can hear beautiful classical music playing, even though I've turned the radio off. I keep checking to see if it's on. Also, I've heard my neighbor in the upstairs apartment, snoring! Thank God for earplugs. But then I can hear my heart beat, and start worrying if it sounds right.

I hear all those things too, and it gets annoying.

I am the bane of my family's life because if a television is on ANYWHERE in the house when I am trying to sleep at night, even if it is on at the lowest setting, I hear it and get frustrated... so no televisions after I go to sleep. It is THAT bad :S
