That photo was taken on a webcam and apart from being brightened, that's all.

I have met people from here and gone on cam with people, some people have said I look better in person than in photos, ask Lilya.

i didnt mean yours specifically and simply the general okcupid way of taking photos, but if you want to take it that way ill play ball. Ive already talked about your specific pictures. Hire a better cameraman than michael j fox

This one bit me where a gal I'd been messaging for some time turned out to be not "curvy" but absolutely enormous. Hiding it may get more initial responses but become a 1st-date deal-breaker! (To be fair, I gave it 3-4 tries...) Besides, there's always someone who's into your body shape, whatever it may be.

taking too long to answer on live chats, results in suspecting you of lying.

get a mirror of yourself or webcam view of yourself before you engage in live video/audio, so that you know what your actual facial expression appears like. The person on the other side commentated, you look serious and you are disappointed in what you see. I got my facial expression to be more relaxed as I watched my own facial expression during live chat.

You should remember that not everybody is the same, so your "method" for taking photos to impress people will sometimes have the opposite of your desired effect.

To me, that photo screams "poser."

Your PVC jacket looks cheap, the way you tie your tie makes you look like a schoolboy, you're wearing earbuds that you couldn't be bothered to remove for two seconds to take a photo, your forced "intense" expression makes you look sulky, and why would you be wearing a jacket indoors, anyway? The whole thing just looks ridiculous and forced.

That is just my opinion. I am not trying to insult you; just trying to point out that, for some people, your elaborately staged photo screams "trying too hard" and is an example of how NOT to take a photo for a dating site.

I am sure some women would be attracted to your poses and will fall for your little scheme, and if that's all you want, so be it. Personally I would rather see natural, smiling, genuine photos of people who look like they are behaving like normal, relaxed human beings.
