I used to have an infatuation with a girl with the same name as this 1950's movie star

I sure hope she did not have the same voice as Rosalind Russell. That would be irritating.

Smoking and wearing bloomers! This woman must have been a Victorian rebel.

Are you trying to cause a scandal? I demand you remove that picture before I report you to the proper authorities! For shame!

Tequila, I meant an old photograph

TM1, I guess Charlize Theron is older than I thought.

Here's a picture of the 7th president of the US, Andrew Jackson, ca 1844.

I know this post is old, but man he really looks like a $20 bill!

This one was taken between 1850 and 1860.

a photo taken in the 1880's of a woman who looks surprisingly modern.

sorry? the one i posted obviously. there is no photo in the photo or of a photo. if you are saying that the post content itself is a photo and seeing things from that point of view, then i hasten to say that the post content is an embedded object that is linked and not a photo in itself.

anyway, i like the way she looks. i rarely see women from this era who look natural. they usually have prim and proper expressions on their faces, and their hairstyles are like overblown meringues.
i think the fringe and basic haircut and relaxed expression shows me (in a superficial way obviously) that i would possibly have liked her if i was alive when she was.

that is an interesting picture. they look proud but poor. it shows how class was a high priority in those days i think.
the man looks almost ashamed and the woman looks stoic in a way that suggests she is able to ignore her station in life with a stiff upper lip as it were. i wonder for what reason they posed for the shot.
they both look worn out.
i wonder when the photo was taken. it looks like a daguerreotype so they would have both been dead for about 100 years at least.
how macabre in a way.

this is my all time favourite. it is so ghoulish almost to see a time that has completely disappeared along with everyone in it. the video is of around 1900.
