Here's a way to do it without a calculator or Google:
Take a number of different x-values and evaluate y with them. Plot those points on the graph.
For instance, with y = x + 2:
x = 0, y = 2 - plot (0, 2) on the graph
x = 1, y = 3 - plot (1, 3)
x = 2, y = 4 - plot (2, 4)
x = 3, y = 5 - plot (3, 5)
Draw a line that goes through all these points.
All the examples given are linear equations - so all you really need is two points and then just use a ruler to draw a line going through both of them. With quadratic equations and other functions that curve, you'll need more points than that and to draw the best curve you can through them all.
