I hated the stress of work but hated the weekend also because they broke up my
pattern. I hate Sunday more than anyday.

When you learn to enjoy doing nothing you'll find weekends to be an awesome space for resting in between the "battles" that is school or work.

Holidays are even more awesome.

I used to hate to sit around doing nothing, but have grown to love it.

I thought I was the only one! Although I like having a job, I don't like the work, because it gets mind-numbingly boring. So when the weekend comes, I can't wait. However, when it does arrive, I get even more depressed because I've got nothing to do except to obsess about how messed up I am.

I don't care for the weekends, either. There are drunks outside my building, yelling and pushing one another around. There's a local band that plays their drums and electric guitars as loud as they can, in a near-by Night Club. I'm relieved when Sunday Night rolls around. I can kick back and listen to Oldies or Classical Music and not worry about any interuptions.

I do "nothing" on the weekend and by that I mean I grocery shop, do laundry, play video games and practice my guitar (more indepthy then during the week) which reminds me, time to get on it

Weekends are boring. I have nothing to do for them.

Everybody is out on the weekends. My parents are home. The malls are crowded and more difficult for me to navigate.

If I had a job I would probably have a better view of the weekend, however.

I'm the same with Sundays. No idea why. I've always hated them even as a kid.

I find weekends difficult. My wife wonders why I'm so moody. She thinks I don’t like spending time with her and my kids. But it's just the change in routine I find difficult.

Once I've been off for a while get used to the new routine and am happier. 2 days isn't enough time for me to adapt. I do try extra hard at the weekend to appear happy. I also try to make to weekend structured so I know what I'm doing.

When I've been off for a long time (more than a week) I find it hard going back to work (adapting back to my work routine). It took me about 5 days to get into (get used to) Christmas (and start enjoying myself). By the time I start enjoying myself it's time to go back to work.

I'd like to have the weekends and holidays off to which my college degree was supposed to entitle me instead of still working bottom rung jobs. In fact my new year's resolution is to not work on new year's eve next year!

How come everyone is talking about their routine being effected when they can have a weekend routine?

My weekend routine means I:
Wake up
Go on the computer
Go get groceries
Do laundry
Either play guitar or video games
chill out (computer, anything)

Sunday, mostly the same minus the laundry (hopefully its done). Yes, different from the other 5 days but the other 5 days I'm wasting away at work and not my personal time

I like weekends because I can catch up on the sleep I lose during the week from getting up early for school.
