s**t. On the 9th of this month, in two days, I will be dragged kicking and screaming into my seventeenth year of life.
I swear, I don't want to grow up! Why is this happening to me?
True, I get the advantage of birthday presents and I'll start to look hotter, but that doesn't matter. The freedom is fine, but I can't handle the responsibility.
I feel really drained by this. I could swear I'm going through my mid-life crisis.

Anyone besides me hate their birthdays?

I hate birthdays. I think it's stupid having to celebrate it with people.

Celebrating's the good part.
The bad part is that you're another year older.

I don't like celebrating it because I don't care if I'm a year older.
But I like eating cake.

Just wait until you turn 30!

I'm also over the whole birthday thing. But everyone around me still seems to think it's a big deal.

Don't wanna grow up eh, run to the store and get some diapers and put them on and you will feel better. Better get some baby bottles too and some food and don't forget the pacifiers. Now will you feel better. Start buying toys again too and playing with them.

What I loved about my birthdays was getting presents. I get toys, and games and things I wanted. I only had one birthday my party my whole life. I didn't like it so i never threw another again. I only had family ones. I did have a family birthday party when i was 4, my parents threw me one and I loved it. I got a lot of presents and I got my roller skates of my own made by Fisher Price. I can remember my Dad taking me outside on the driveway taking me roller skating. Then I never had one of those parties again. Mainly because of the presents. that's all i loved about it. Now I don't tell my parents what i want for my birthdays and christmas unless they ask since I'm an adult. My last birthday, i got clothes and my dad took me out to eat and my whole family went but sadly my ex who was my boyfriend then forgot it was my bday so he never came home and that was the last straw so i broke up with him two days later since I wasn't that important to him. I forget what other presents I got. Shame on me.

People need a reason to celebrate, they need something to look forward to and keep them going through their otherwise miserable lives. The way I see it, age is a number. You're only as old as you think you are, don't think about it, don't let it get to you. And if people want to celebrate it, let them.

I dread my birthday every year, and I wonder what I should do about it. I hype myself up, telling myself that my Birthday will be wonderful. When it comes, it's just another day to me. I blow out some candles and open gifts that I don't end up using. Birthdays to me, are a let down.

That's going to happen to me in just over a month's time. I still feel like I'm 12 years old in my mind. Wish my body would reflect that.
