If I end up going to grad school in a different part of the country (assuming I get in to any >_<), I may seriously consider changing my carrier so I have access to the phone. Already heard that the price will be lower, IF you sign on the dotted line for X years contract. Once these things start showing up on the street, EVERYBODY will be lusting for one ....

Yeah got P990 on contract and paid for P910 outright (*getting assassinated by bank manager*).

Apple can probably be trusted to make much better OS than Symbian too.

Cingular has no service in my area so I don't think it's very good at all.

Fantastic. They need to up the capacity way more than 8gb to match the current iPods. If they do this the iPhone will be the greatest thing since fire, the wheel, and bottled beer!

Also, Cisco has sued Apple over the name iPhone, so it might not be released under that moniker. I would go for something like MacPhone or even Apple(logo)Phone, to go with their new corporate identity.

Haven't heard any deadline for delivery yet. Supposedly only one working model has been shown to reporters ! !!

There isn't a set delivery date, just a general annoucement that it would be released in June. You can get a widget that counts down the days until June--I have one! And I am 85% positive I am going to get one, even if I never use it as a phone (I hate phones.) It is entirely dependent upon how much more a month it will cost me. All I really want is a phone that has bluetooth and lets me make/download my OWN ringtones/pictures. (I covet a CTU phone ringtone, but my phone won't let me download it, stupid Samsung x427m.)
