I use Ubuntu, but I'll be switching to Windows 8 once I get a new computer.

Although I've Answered on this thread before, here's the breakdown of OS's that I've used in from past til present, as I like the above poster's layout.

QDOS
DOS 4
Windows 3
Win95
Win95B
Win98
Win98SE
Caldera Open Linux (The one that came with the 0.9 KDE Beta and the 2.2 Kernel)
MacOS9
Redhat 6.1
BeOS (triple boot system with SuSE 6.2 and Win98SE)
WinME (for about a day)
SuSE 6.2
WinXP home
Redhat 9
Fedora Core 2 (for about a day)
WinXP Pro
Win 2K (Workstation @ job)
Ubuntu Warty
WinXP Media Center
Fedora 9 (Ugh!! !)
Ubuntu 8.04
Ubuntu 9.01
WinVista (This was even worse than WinME)
Ubuntu 10.10 (ran LXDE in conjunction with Gnome desktop)
Linux Mint 12 (Essentially Spyware due to all searches being routed through MintSearch)
Ubuntu 10.04
Debian Squeeze
Xubuntu 12.04 (DIdn't particularly like it)
SolusOS 1.x series (Still use on another drive w/ 3.8 Kernel)
Puppy Linux (The Slackware versison)
CrunchBang Statler (Using to post this)
I've also played around with the Looking Glass Desktop that SunMS was working on with SlaX.

All of the WinXP stuff was solid provided that you knew it's security limitations, and used neither IE or SP3. BeOS was a great platform that had virtually ported to it. BeOS also came with BASH, and if you ran a 'ps' command, you would get a LONG list of processes that had noting at all in common with standard *nix processes.

I have two Systems. The first runs Slackware Linux and has no internet connection whatsoever. I use it for application development, graphics/audio, and other stuff. The second runs Windows XP and is used for internet connectivity only.

This setup has some advantages in terms of security. Sensitive information never actually enters the machine with the network connection(because I operate from an external hard-drive when transferring files). Viruses target this system, but I don't necessarily have to worry about them transferring over to the Linux Distro(due to incompatible executable formats).

Plus, the lack of internet connectivity on the first system means I actually get work done, haha! :D

:edit:

Fogman! You've used all those systems, but haven't tried Slackware?! WHYY???

Actually, I've given Slackware serious consideration, but at this point, and with this system, I'm going to stick with Debian Stable, at least until I get a bigger HDD, or migrate completely to a new system.

Also, my initial experiance with Slackware,(back in Oct. 1998) left me undesiring to try it at that point.

I had just gotten a new notebook system, and I was planning on running Slackware on a 1GB partition. I performed the FDisk, and did the raw write boot floppy.

What I didn't know at the time, was theat the particular computer that I bought saved all power management and boot utilities on a separate hidden partition, and when I did the Fdisk (Just like the Slackware Manual said) I wound up completely corrupting all data on my hard drive, and spent the rest of the day recovering the main drive with the help of the Win98 install Disk and a Norton's CD.

So I don't seem to come across as spammy I figured that this update would not include anything that has NOT changed:

Changes:
x86/x86_64

Haiku (on Dell Optiplex GX150 Small Form Factor mainy as proof I can do it and also in VirtualBox OSE under Debian Squeeze on laptop)

That should be all up to date, for the rest see my most recent post before this

I don't really get much options so I use Linux Mint 14 XFCE and Lubuntu 13.04 (with WINE for the Windows apps needed for Mario World hacking).

I currently have:

Parabola (with Openbox) Parabola is Arch with all non-free packages removed or purified to FOSS only. Good for security also.
Arch (with KDE) -- my fallback / used for Wine, since it's already set up
Gentoo with Enlightenment 17 -- I prefer Arch but Gentoo had more up-to-date E17.

EDIT: the Gentoo install is the newest, and my main system. its quite fast, and I will make it much faster when I get some time to tinker.

If I reinstall, it will be Arch with E17, since E17 has good stable releases now.

I love how many Aspies use Linux as you need to be fairly knowledgeable with computers and maybe programming to use it and we are well known to be somewhat good at computers.

Home PC
Windows 7 Ultimate (64bit)
Ubuntu 12.10 (64bit) - Need to update to 13.04
VirtualBox; I add VirtualBox just so you know everything I use...
Fedora 18 (64bit)
Linux Mint 14.1 (64bit)
BackTrack 5r3 (64bit)

Laptop
Windows 7 Ultimate (64bit) - Will be changing to Ubuntu 13.04 with Gnome environment added soon
