You need to think about all the positive things about yourself.

Don't know how but certainly I could use a self-esteem boost.

I think the only thing which would give me that boost is having a solid group of friends whom I can trust. Although a step cloase to that goal than - say - last month, I still have a long road to travel.

Volunteering sounds like a good idea, but I've never felt a great deal of self esteem come out of the volunteer work I have done because all of it has not involved much social action.

It's one thing knowing what's positive about yourself, but it's another beast entirely knowing that other people acknowledge and value those things. (I know, I know, I know that we aren't supposed to think about what others think of us..)

To go on, focus on ALL things positive in your life, even the smallest, dumbest things such as turning on a t.v. and it NOT being on a commercial. Just anything, just remove all negativity and you WILL notice a difference.

Say them out loud, as well, to start, that way it is more clear or 'real.'

As well, perhaps find a topic you want to obsess over and get to it. Measure your progress and gain a 'I know I can do anything' attitude.

I just started learning guitar in September and I FEEL a difference. My skill has improved, my speed as improved, etc. It makes me feel good to see that progress.
