While growing up I noticed that alot of people would judge me before getting to know. Even though I would dress like any other person you know blue jeans, tshirt, sweatshirt, and sneakers. Because of this it made me feel like the world was against me. But over time I made friends with other like me and with a few aspies. Just because we look different doesn't mean were bad or full of trouble. It just bugs me that people do this. That they act so pig headed and say that we are no good. Hope people are listening when I say we are not alone and just misunderstood. Feel free to comment please it very appericiated. also people would call me Trailer Trash and sam sam the garbbage can stuck her head in a frying pan. It drives me crazy. k bye

Hi LoneWolf20,
I don't know why people jump to such stupid conclusions before they know the facts. Some people do though and I have no idea why. Maybe it gives them a sense of superiority to look down on other people. They must be pretty insecure to have such a bad attitude, and I guess they're not happy if they have to put other people down.

Its amazing how shallow people are. They make assessments of others without bothering to find out anything about them.

That used to happen to me, as well. No wonder I have a hard time trusting people.

I hate it when people judge others by the way they look.

I have learned in life to ignore most of it. But I really hate it when people stereo type others. Like for example I live in a small trailer park and people who knew would call me trailer trash because I lived in one. It just bug the living daylights out of me. But like I said before it just is not right. I mean it some thing that most people cannot understand the feeeling of it. for those who are the victums it ends up causing them to do something stupid to get attention like cut themselves, change who they are and what they look like, and commit suicide. It is just one of my pet peeves that gets me all worked up. Well got 2 go now bye.

I judge people based on their answer to the following question which I write down on paper for them: How do you spell "complicated"? You'd be surprised at how many people mess that up.

I don't judge people, because I had being judged myself.

I judge those who are ignorant and or stupid or just plain dumb.

I have "hunches" when I think a person might have AS or something. Really useful sometimes, it works, and sometimes it doesn't.

I have a problem with judging smokers. I hate smoking because of all the fumes and how it can kill you, and yet it's a symbol to be cool. As a result, I wind up disliking people who smoke if I don't know them any further other than the fact that they smoke. And yet I know I'm wrong because there are users on WP who are great people and yet they smoke too.

I should try to fix this problem sometime...

Speaking of judging:

It can sometimes take a while for new people to judge me, but when they see the real me, they are pretty put off. I look perfectly average, and can do pretty well for up to a few hours with new people (of a few minutes, depending on how tired I am), but after that, my social mask starts to slip and how different I am starts to become noticeable. It is very difficlut when I start a new job. I am aware of the differences, but I don't know how to bridge the gap. Behind the mask, I have zero confidence because it is very hard to be always on guard and watching for the social cues while simultaneously trying to be genuine and friendly. I get paranoid when others that I tried to make friends with prefer one another's company, but won't hang out with me. I say to myself that I AM being paranoid and to jsut give it a rest already, but my mind seems reluctant to listen.

The only time I've ever made friends easily is when I worked Ren Faire in my late teens/early twenties - we were all odd ducks and there was plenty of room for different quacks. I have a few very good, long term friends (non-AD, ADD or different), but I've moved to a new city and I am still having trouble making friends.

Thanks for listening.
Z~
