Actually, that's not misleading; the Pink Panther was the name of the diamond.

Mozart and the Whale turns out not to be about an illicit relationship between Wolfgang Amadeus and a naughty humpback...

True, but it would take at least one lifetime to tell it all!!

Gone with the Wind.

There is absolutely no wind in it whatsoever, nor is it about the weather.

28 Days Later

It was not a sequel to the Sandra Bullock film that took place in the rehab center.

I actually know of a couple of people who were seriously mortified when they realized what they were watching. They wanted another inspirational film about recovery from addiction and instead they got..... 28 Days Later.

Halloween III: Season of the Witch

Remove the "Halloween III"

Send every sequel back one number.

I sense the dry humour is strong in this one, Anakin.

Goldfinger

Could have been much, much worse: Ian Fleming originally toyed with the name Goldprick.

In that respect Goldmember was accurate.

Iron man wasn't though. They haven't used iron in missiles for years - too heavy.

(500) Days of Summer

It is not talking about the season of Summer but a girl named Summer. At first, I thought it was about the season.

MUD

What it was: Superbad meets The Bourne Identity when two teenage boys meet a mysterious fugitive who wants to reunite with his ex-girlfriend.

What I thought was about: A boring documentary about a car stuck in mud.

But was it about dragons in a war? Because the name only promises that. Sharktopus Vs. Megapiranha is an objectively horrible movie, badly written, badly acted, with "special" effects so special they should be wearing a helmet, but it does indeed include the promised battle between the titular monsters...

Only the first film was about the diamond - the others were about the detective who was looking for it in the first film.

Much like The Thin Man films. The first was about the hunt for a missing man who happened to be thin but the other films were about the husband and wife detectives from the first film.

Son of Dracula

Despite the title, Dracula himself is the villain. No son of his actually appears.

Balls of Fury

What it was - A former Ping Pong Champion trying to get back on his feet.

What I thought - ummm...you know what? Don't think too hard on this one.
