Balls of Fury

What it was - A former Ping Pong Champion trying to get back on his feet.

What I thought - ummm...you know what? Don't think too hard on this one.

The Pink Panther films, mainly because they revolve around a precious gem rather than the panther himself.

Actually, that's not misleading; the Pink Panther was the name of the diamond.

Mozart and the Whale turns out not to be about an illicit relationship between Wolfgang Amadeus and a naughty humpback...

Only the first film was about the diamond - the others were about the detective who was looking for it in the first film.

Much like The Thin Man films. The first was about the hunt for a missing man who happened to be thin but the other films were about the husband and wife detectives from the first film.

Actually, the Pink Panther diamond reappeared in The Return of the Pink Panther, Trail of the Pink Panther, and Curse of the Pink Panther.

"Lennon Naked".

Christopher Eccleston playing Lennon did actually do a nude scene in that film so no it is accurate.

And now for something completely different - compilation of Monty Python sketches previous broadcast. That's probably the joke.

Submarine - contains no actual boats either. Other than that, though good film.

The World's Fastest Indian

What it was: A biopic about a guy from New Zealand who set a land speed record in the 1960s.

What I thought it was: Don't think so hard on this one.

St. Elmo's Fire

What it was - Some coming-of-age film by Joel Schumacher (*Cough* JoelSchumacherishistory'sgreatestmonster *cough cough*)

What I thought - A documentary on the weather phenomenon of the same name OR Elmo from Sesame Street converts to Catholicism and starts throwing Molotov Cocktails at Stem Cell Research Labs and Abortion Clinics.

Trainspotting

I thought it was going to be about trains and the actual hobby of trainspotting. Instead, it is about drug addicts and the efforts of one of them to get out of it.

Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country - There was no undiscovered country.

The Naked Gun - I didn't see any guns with boobs.

The Lost World: Jurassic Park - The Lost World isn't exactly lost if it's on a map.

King Kong - How can he be a king if he doesn't have any subject.

Book of Shadows: Blair Witch 2 - There was no Book of Shadows.

Brave - What does this word have to do with a princess turning her mother into a bear. They should have called it the Princess and the Bear or something.

I know some comedian already covered this but I'm going to repeat it anyway.

Frost/Nixon

What it was - The story behind the Frost/Nixon interviews of 1977.

What we thought - Jack Frost and Richard Nixon team up to save Christmas or something.

Zero Dark Thirty.

Does that mean something? It was never said during the film.

Apparently they wanted to start with something new, but it didn't work out, so they went back to Michael Myers.

Mystic Pizza

I don't see what's so mystic about a pizza unless its supposed to contain shrooms.

misleading? there are loads.

http://www.empireonline.com/images/imag ... /69492.jpg this one here is what some people were saying was random, and it is. makes no sense. I think the one Russell Crowe was in Cinderella man, about a boxer in the 1920s, and even the lion king. why not just of called it, king of lions or something. Quantum of Solace is also strange, but stands out although sounds more like something from the matrix.

The Breakfast Club. Honestly, I thought it was going to be about people gathering for breakfast.
