I have two. No plans to add any, but I am very happy that I finally had them done in the past 5 years.

I fear needles and dislike permanent change. Tattoos are not for me.

I'm not a fan of tattoos myself. In addition to that, it sounds painful and the process would disrupt my stimming D:

Tattoos are permanent reminders of temporary thoughts.

I think tattoos look cool but I keep thinking of new designs, and since I don't want 10 gazillion tattoos I just stick to drawing on myself.

Thank you! Have been obsessed with mermaids since I was 5 so thought it was a good choice. I like the ideas of permanence and symbols. Good luck if you decide to get one :) I thought my parents would be really annoyed but they really like it!

Yours will be awesome too! :) The moon reminded me of a brain for some reason, that's cool. When are you thinking of getting it done?

I have two, a Celtic/New Model Army one on my right shoulder, and a dragon on my left calf. I plan to add more but I'm waiting for a special occasion for my next one - probably to celebrate getting back into proper work.

Trick of the light I guess - its on the broad bit of my shoulder muscle following the curve, so it appears to stand off like a large button badge. 8)

It feels exactly like a cat scratching a sunburn or bruise. It doesn't hurt much at all.

I have a few in the design phase.

The first is going to be around my right ankle, its the famous quote from the Lord of the Rings: "All that is gold does not glitter / Not all those who wander are lost." I was thinking about splitting it, one line around each ankle, but I have several scars on the left one and I don't know how well the tattooing would take to scar tissue.

The second is something I plan on adding to as I get older; I'm going to get two snow leopards or wolves, not sure which yet, curled around each other, to represent my fiancé (after the wedding, of course) and myself. If we have kids, I'll add a cub or pup for each child.

Sunburn is exactly how I'd describe it- like scratching sunburnt skin. I didn't have a problem with the feeling of it, but I found the noise of the needle really hard to deal with. I took music and listened to Pink Floyd really loudly to drown it out which is also what I do at the dentist (same problem)- I even have a 'dentist' playlist on my ipod of songs that are really loud/distracting/make me 'hyper'!
