Hi, although I'm not an Aspie, I have a new counseling practice where I have been seeing a lot of teens and adults with Aspergers as well as their families. I was a school social worker prior to starting private practice and wanted to continue giving support to Aspies in private practice. Sometimes I get people in with new (to me) concerns and when I discovered this site I knew it would be a good place to ask for advice on particular issues. I'll also make sure my clients and their families with 'Aspergers know about this site so they can ask questions themselves or have a space to connect with like minded people.

I wish more counseling took the approach, play to strength, be matter-of-fact about any deficiencies.
