Hi,
Do you feel tied to the past?
If so, you may find freedom by putting right stuff that keeps you "locked" there.

I am in the process of tracking down a person whom I did a bad thing to when I was a child. I sprayed car de-icer in her face. I was only a young child and had no idea that it could have dissolved her eye-balls & made her permanently blind.
Thankfully she was rushed to hospital, her eyes "washed out" and she was fine. The thing is that I remember her screaming.
I'm in the process of tracking her down to say sorry 30years later. When I was a kid I did say sorry, but because I was told to because I didn't realise the possible implications of what I had done. It has played on my conscience ever since, and I need to put it right.
To me it is VERY important to do so.

Maybe watch this:

Here's the flip side - perhaps talking about it will bring back a bad memory for her. Is that a good thing?

You are doing this for yourself, let's face it. Perhaps you could find the same forgiveness through prayer.

This might sound bizarre, but you don't have to have someone in front of you to ask for forgiveness - they can be thousands of miles away, even dead, and forgiveness is still possible.

I'd rather see her face-to-face, and say Sorry properly. I'd perfectly understand if she gouged my eyes out. However it finishes up, it will be finished. The loose end will be connected.

Doesn't always work that way. And as I say, the loose end could just be yours - inside you. So why go outside to repair something damaged inside you? And could you forgive yourself if a meeting didn't work out the way you intended it to?

Best of luck with whatever you do, and I hope you find what you're seeking.

Hi octobertiger,
I have thought about what you wrote, and decided not to track-down the person as she may have forgotten about what happened, and it could revive a horrible memory for her.
What I have to keep telling myself is that I am "Saved", and that my sins were washed away by the blood of Yeshua when I was Born Again. The only person that is condeming me is myself.
