I would say the best way to approach it if they work at a restaurant or something just keep it to times of the day they are not as busy. Then just talk and flirt with her over multiple visits if she gets a min or two to talk during the shift.

Depends on the situation. The only time its ever worked for me was when I asked a clerk at Spencer's out. We had a discussion about the new Spider-Man flick trailer while I bought a Spider-Man shirt. I asked her out to see it with me. We dated/hooked up casually for about a year.

Do you know anything about these girls that leads you to believe they'd be a good match for you? If they are just pretty and smile at you that's not enough to justify asking them out, IMO.

I have a friend who met his wife while she was at work. She was a technician in a hospital department and he had to spend an entire day in the department having various scans.
