Due to the fact that not everyone can keep up with videogames/games/movies because of their work/schedule/whatever there is an ongoing problem of "spoiling" game twists/plot twists...
Someone has just requested that we put a sticky on this section to let everyone know how to start putting spoiler tags on their posts so here it is:

Code:
[quote="Spoiler"][color=transparent]RUTABAGA![/color][/quote]

Spoiler wrote:

You need to take out the [code] tags and it will look just like the one below.
It can be read by selecting the text with your mouse(same way you would copy a paragraph or something)

We encourage everyone to start doing this if you can to avoid issues in the particular subforums

For some reason, I can't read your spoiler text but I can read Spongy's when I highlight it.

EDIT: Ah, I see the problem. The correct code for your spoiler should be this:

Code:
[quote="Spoiler"][color=white]Mario bites off Sonic's finger and falls into Mount Doom.[/color][/quote]

This gives you the following:

Spoiler wrote:
Mario bites off Sonic's finger and falls into Mount Doom.

Now when you highlight it, you should see the hidden text.

Works fine for me in Opera. I just copied his example script.

I'm using Safari and for some reason, I can't read your text when I highlight it but I can read mine (I just made a slight change in the script code from "color=transparent" to "color=white"). If it's a browser issue, then perhaps we should all rather use my script code so that more people can read it and since it should otherwise have the same effect anyway because white is the same colour as the background for quotations.

It works just fine with Chromium, too.

What a great find!
I wish I had found it first.
Maybe people will start using it whenever they want to discuss a book, game, movie or television show without giving away the ending.
Maybe they'll also start posting insulting text to people they don't like just because they think they can get away with it.
:D

Why can't we just add a dedicated spoiler tag to the forum software? It should take very little effort, assuming that this forum runs off of PHP code that the admins can easily modify.
