Unless it's porn, I really don't see the point.

The reason why I think Hollywood has run out of original ideas is because Hollywood doesn't want any new original ideas.

^It's because cokeheads run the business.

It's because the writers pretty much grew up watching TV and not reading books. They don't know how to be creative.

Also the major studios, being corporations, don't like to take risks on new ideas.

It seems like the movie studios use some kind of formula/ polls to decide what will sell. They just keep using the same formula and apply it to different movie ideas. That's why it seems like all these movie while having different characters and stories all seem similar.

If the seriously wanted to do remakes lets try some stuff that has not been remade 100 thousand times ( ie Brady Bunch)

These are just a few old TV shows that could be made into some really interesting movies.

I hope they give 'Ginger' a bigger rack ... uh ... role. Ginger should have a bigger role.

It wouldn't be the same most of the cast are dead now.

What it would be is just another cash grab.

The plot: all of the castaways have died of various causes, leaving only Gilligan and Ginger. They are finally rescued by a billionaire who has purchased the island. The Howells left a will, leaving a fortune to Gilligan if he should ever be rescued. When they get back to the mainland, they suffer cultural shock as they have been marooned for over 30 years. Ginger is "rediscovered" and goes full tilt Norma Desmond. Meanwhile Gilligan is fabulously rich as the Howell's empire grew quite a bit over the years. But to his shock he discovers the castaways were NOT the victim of circumstance, but shipwrecked on purpose by an evil employee of Howell Industries. Gilligan tracks him down, but he is now an addled old man. Gilligan grows disenchanted with modern society and becomes a recluse living in a bizarre mansion designed to look like the island he spent so many years on.

I agree about Hogan's Heroes. However...who would be the right actor to fill in for Bob Crane?

Also, another old TV show called The Man From U-N-C-L-E will be getting the movie treatment, in turn its movie adaptation will be released sometime next year in 2014.
