Your 9/11 memories

My first reaction was that someone "left the gate open". yes, 19 Muslim hijackers did crash planes into buildings. But I have a sense that somehow there is more to it than that. Those hijackers are part of an organization previously set up by the CIA to fight against Russia in Afghanistan.
Osama Bin Laden wasn't always a religious fanatic, and before his early 30's, he generally held liberal views and supported the west (Saddam Hussein ultimately sided with the USSR).

Another thing contributing to the "fishy" sense is that afterwards, the US federal government was immediately able to intact strong police state measures (patriot act), which was written before 9/11.
This is what's called a state of emergency.

There are aspects of the collapse of the 3 towers that are more characteristic of controlled demolition, something backed up by a large coalition of architects and engineers.
Anyone with an E is physics can get an engineering degree. Mandatory physics for most of the branches is limited to classical mechanics. Having said that, most engineers (myself included) do not believe in these conspiracy theories.
I can debunk any argument any wannabe engineer comes up with.

Building 7, had relatively minor damage, not enough to collapse the building. It did however have many federal agencies as tenants. Possibly destruction of evidence? hmmmm?
Load bearing structures were damaged--and a fire broke out. The flooring burned with up to 1,200 degrees celcius and was fueled even more by diesel from the generators. Second, the fire department had spoken out against the placement of the diesel tanks before 9/11, stating that this placement would raise hell if a fire broke out. Lastly, the core of building 7 was not covered in concrete, unlike that of most skyskrapers.

I, myself remember, hearing on the news as I was watching that they were planning to "pull it" referring to Building 7. It did not collapse all by itself, it was intentionally demolished. Perhaps it was already pre-wired for demolition, as a safety measure for tall buildings in a dense urban area. I've heard that is done sometimes as a precaution.
That's not what Silverstein ment when he said "pull it". In this case, he meant evacuating the people and waiting for the building to fall by itself.

There we're strong ties between the Bush family and Bin Laden Family.
Not when the planes crashed into the Twin Towers.

A very large insurance policy was taken out on the WTC against terrorist attack, very shortly before the attacks.
No. The insurers paid a whopping 510 million dollars after the bomb in 1993.
Quote:
There was a surge in "put" orders against United and American Airlines (a bet the stock would go down) on 9/10
Do you have any evidence of this?

In the following years, TRILLIONS of dollars was pumped into the military industrial complex as a result of the ongoing wars.
Yes, because of both the war in Iraq and the war in Afghanistan.
