A friend and I are both autistic and we both take psychiatric medication. She gets an antipsychotic, Risperidone and I something for my ADD, Bupropione. We both got side effects, but they first appeared after 8 to 12 weeks and we both had to reduce out dosage. Is it common to experience side effects after such a long time so that the dosage has to be changed?

Yes. It is very normal for meds to have changing effects over the course of treatment. Keep your prescriber updated (as clearly you have :D)!

Thank you for your answer. :D

Actually I just called on December 30th, but I've an appointment by my psychiatrist on January 7th.

... and why is it that way that there are changing effects over time? :?
