holy crap. which search engine do you use?

they all do this to me

now I use DuckDuckgo and with it I can specify -porn -sex -dating and even then I STILL get pron stuff in EVERY freaking search - I hate computers (Have I mentioned this before?)

No, I just thought you misunderstood me. Misunderstanding people is not linked to learning or reading disabilities.

You could do it the way my 60+ dad does. Take the automatical start site of your browser - most often Google or MSN search or whatever and type in as example "railroad models" or "last minute holidays".

I am as well interested in activism: So if you are already interested into it, then you will normally have certain newspapers you read that attract your oppinions or know of existent organisations. For me its as example some german newspaper and organisations. So if you are interested in them, you normally will simply google for their online-homepages. By reading and interacting with other people on their homepages, you will learn automatically of other homepages linked to that.

Exactly where do you see the 90% porn in the above links? O_o

Could it be that you use an public computer or similar? Todays search engine are filtering your cookies, in the meaning of offering you internet sites, that might git for your interests. So if you have roommates, that use the computer for watching porn 80% of the time, then google will think, that this is of more importance to you, and so list pornsites with an higher importancy, when you search for other stuff as well.

But actually, if you dont engage in searching porn, I really cant relate to your experiences.

it is my own private computer, and I don't surf porn ever, I have never found it interesting (my first exposures were after I moved out of my parents and it was boring, I prefer real people in real life if I am going to do anything)

as far as the searches you provided

for the LGBT after 11 pages I had found 2 forums - both of which I had registered on - one I had to leave from negative experiences and the other is pretty dead.

for the feminism - can't find any forums and all of the actions seem to be in nations other than my own

sort of what I run into myself (in fact on my own I found about 4 other sites, but they are all fairly dead, I am also on a lesbian only site .... again pretty much nothing going on but one game being active and then they do sort of a dating thing ... every person contacting me seemed to be a scam artist so I searched hard for the way to set up privacy on their forum after reporting several)

Craigslist is a good place to get ripped off on something for sale, or if you do their personals section, meet somebody who might possibly give you a family sized case of crabs to go along with whatever sexual favor was performed, or maybe killed instead of performing upon you the sexual act that they promised.

Facebook allows you to stay in contact with all the annoying people throughout your life that you really did not like in the first place.

twitter allows you to 'tweet' or rather post comments to the same types that I mentioned about Facebook.

Basically, if you're on the internet, and don't actively participate on these sites, you're generally doing ok, anybody who tells you otherwise is bulls**ting you, ignore them, your kow what you want, and they don't.
