The Weather Girls used to be called 2 Tons Of Fun but thought that Weather Girls was less patronizing.

I thought Devo had more hits than Whip It, though. I thought Freedom of Choice and Girl U Want were also hits.

In the U.S., Tarzan Boy peaked at No. 13.

Looking at the replies and dislikes for the video it seems that most people have no sense of humor and said they understood all the lyrics perfectly. I did too except for a couple I haven't heard very often, but it's hard to believe people really think that "There's a bathroom on the right" or "Let's pee in the corner". I thought Dancing Queen was pretty funny. I always knew how that part of the song went, but I used to think they also sang, "You can dance, you can die, having the time of your life". It's "you can jive".

I used to think the Beach Boys were saying Bob-Bob-Bob Bobby Wren instead of Barbara Ann. I also thought in Bob Dylan's song How Does It Feel he was saying Out In The Field. I also thought Skeeter Davis had a lisp. I thought she was saying Don't Say No, Its The End Of The World instead of Don't They Know, It's The End Of The World.

For years I thought Manfred Mann was saying douche.

I never misheard CCR "Bad Moon Rising" but for years on "Down in the Corner" s instead of "if you got a nickel" I thought they were singing the N_Word and I was wondered why that was allowed on the radio.

I thought 4 was the actual lyrics apart from "another rubber in the night."

Either way I did laugh when Ozzy said enjoy life and end your life as they sounded very similar. Ahaha.

I misinterpreted the Bee Gees' song "Jive Talk" as "child talk."

The actual title of the Dylan song is "Like A Rolling Stone".
Always knew it was "how does it feel?", but I saw it quoted in print before I ever actually heard the song.

But in his song "You Aint Goin' Nowhere" I heard the line as "Genghis Khan, and his brother Don, could not keep on keeping on".

He does sing "Genghis Khan", but the rest of the line is something else. I forget. I like my version better to be honest!

It used to be easier to mishear lyrics a long time ago when we were all usually listening on very tinny little radios. When I was a teen, most of us had these cheap little analog portable radios and their sound quality was the pits. I totally thought I was hearing "There's a bathroom on the right." There's a good reason why a whole generation got that one.

I also thought the song Proud Mary went "Roll it, roll it, roll it on the millstone" instead of "roll it on the river."

Bad radio speakers, muggy sounding family record players that were not hi-fi at all, and analog transmission to those bad, cheap radios transformed a lot of stuff that is much clearer with digital listening these days.

More recently, even on my bad car radio I thought Britney Spears in Toxic was singing "Your toxic tongue slipping under" . . .

Actually I believe that it's "rollin', rollin' on the river".

Not "roll it".

Well there ya go, I've been mishearing that too all these years!
