If aliens trade and have complex modes of production and commerce they will invent the equivalent of money. It is the only way one can manage trade with a large class of product types and services types.

Why do Diamonds have the same effect on people? The more I try to understand/think about money basics, the more my mind gets blurred. I waited a couple of days for it to get cleared but it's still the same.

Aliens work for free and all their needs are freely provided for.

It is a currency which can be used in set amounts to exchange for goods and services, and the amounts of it in said exchange determine an approximate value of the item or service in question.

Humans have a hard time loving one another all the time and living in harmoney because they give into fear. As a result people become selfish, hostile, steal, there's a lack of fairness, balance, and wars breakout. To counter all this, we created currency which is a fixed good where a value is created on it to match the real value of needs to people can live fairly in such a hostile fear created world.
