The arguing stopped awhile back. Most of the recent posts are just people having some fun.

No. It has evolved into cats now so why lock that?

Oh, that's a relief! :D

Yeah, the actual arguing was dealt with, which was also a good thing.

After that, seeing people able to have some fun is a good sign for this community. :)

I love how this is a thread criticizing a thread that's criticizing the forum. How meta do you want it?

Maybe it's time to make a thread to criticize threads that criticize threads.

I wouldn't lock it, but I would move it to the "Wrongplanet.net Discussion" forum, because that seems to be the appropriate forum for it to be in.

That thread is crazy monster huge. I just look at the numbers on the side panel getting bigger and bigger. Have little idea of what's going on in it and don't really care. I only come to forums to unwind, lightly interact and have fun.

the world woud be onto a good thing if everything evolved into cats.
well, there woud be less pyschopaths running into schools and shooting them up and less pathetic idiots running the country but there woud still be arguments over who owns what territory, cat turds everywhere [not that thats changed], and lots of tomcats fighting over temptresses like biscuit and princess [the pair of mine, couple of jezzabelles].

I am a 100% dog person, but am enjoying the cat fest greatly. A lot of the 'arguements' were just down to people wanting to 'win the thread' with a lot of waffle and sanctimonious personal opinion dressed up as fact; that was perfectly dealt with by the introduction of a lot of cats.

I don't think that specific thread will put any people off asking questions as you are just as likely to receive a withering reply or be ignored in any of the threads on WP. :) That said, there are and have been some superbly informative threads that I have learned a great deal from.

No because it showed how we can turn some bullying in to a nice thread with love and cute pictures.

Although I do feel bad for the op and the non bulling posters .

I haven't looked in the thread. I can only guess the amount of rubbish that's written in there.

"OMG WP IS FILLED WITH SUCH CREEPS COZ THEY DON'T KNOW HOW TO TALK TO PEOPLE"
We're all here for a reason, we all come with problems, whether diagnosed ASD or not. We all come here because we have at least something in common.

Why moan WP is annoying? Why not just don't come here any more, or avoid particular threads, for example written by select few people who have been stuck in a loop for a while?

I'm unsure if the thread should be locked, but for you to ask if you think it should, it must not be a nice thread in there, so I would say I think it should be locked.
It would certainly put off newbies, and not give a good impression of WP.

Remember, people only review the negative in things.
When the PS4 and Xbox came out, any reviews coming out were negative. No positive ones were made, because people were busy enjoying their console if it was working fine. People very rarely give praise.

It's become really positive, funny, and uplifting. People stopped arguing and turned the thread into working together to get along, I think. It made me feel good watching how the negative got turned around, kind of empowering.
