I just saw this movie on Starz. It's about two aspies falling in love and all of their problems. You would have to see it to really respond to this post or understand, but I can't decide if I found it funny, useful, insulting, or inaccurate. If you have seen it, what do you think?

I did not like the part toward the end where, following a suicide attempt, a psychiatrist says to the boyfriend, I don't want you to call her anymore and neither does she.

She may have said this momentarily, perhaps embarrassed by her suicide attempt as much as anything else.

But all the same, she was really hurt that he didn't call her or try and contact her.

I liked it, especially as it was filmed in and around my home of the Spokane area. I recognized a whole lot of the sights in the movie. I really liked Josh Hartnet's character, as he portrayed a realistic, if not exaggerated Aspie. The female lead, though, seemed to have been suffering much more from a bad case of Borderline Personality Disorder.

Not my kind of movie but I watched it just because it's about aspies.
The characteristics of AS were fairly accurately portrayed but a little blown out of proportion to what is probably average.

I liked the movie. I recognised a lot in Hartnett's character.
