I sometimes have to remind myself to move when I'm with other people. Looking back on family videos, I look like a robot at rest; everyone else is responding naturally to their environment and I'm just sitting there as motionless as possible. Is this common for aspies?

But, interesting.

at work apparently. i am at the reception desk and it is very very slow so mostly i sit there and think/zone out. i noticed people will ask me things a lot if i just sit there, so i try to at least have a book in front of me. it seems to work. maybe. people have told me things like 'i had to make sure you weren't a mannequin!' stuff like that. what's so wrong about just sitting there?!

It depends. Either I am very still and starey or I am fidgeting and ticcing like crazy.

Some days I hardly move around, other days I'm getting up from my desk every 10 minutes or otherwise fidgeting. Just depends on my mood and how much sleep I got the night before.

I don't get enough physical activity, and I know this because I often feel like a weakling whenever I try to do any sort of physical labor. Of course, sometimes I actually surprise myself with how strong I can be when it comes to lifting heavy objects or whatever.

Most of the time when I'm not around people, I do move when either i'm in the right mood but when I'm around people, a part of me locks up and I'm kind of motionless as well as speechless.
