Brando is so revered by so many, but he put so many people through so much misery.......just not right.

A speech teacher I had in highschool said that about Brando. And said that many of his famous affectations, and mannerisms (dramatic pauses, and gravely looking off to the side) were adaptations to reading cue cards.

In 1987, a robbery suspect in Sacramento entered a movie theatre to escape the police who were pursuing him. He became so engrossed in the movie that he didn't notice the police entering the theatre and evacuating the other audience members. After clearing the theatre, they arrested the man. The film being shown was RoboCop.

Before casting Alec Baldwin as Jack Ryan in The Hunt for Red October, Kevin Costner and Harrison Ford were offered the part. Ford later played Ryan in Patriot Games and Clear and Present Danger, and Costner later played Ryan's mentor in Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit.

Tom Cruise was older in the last two Mission: Impossible films (49 and 53) than Peter Graves was when the original TV series ended (47).

Graves came back for the 1980s revival series at 62 and finally ended his role at 64. Let's see if Cruise can beat his record. :)

Alan Rickman has died. His last film is Alice Through the Looking Glass, which it seems he managed to finish.

Humphrey Bogart had to wear platform shoes in Casablanca because he was shorter than Ingrid Bergman.

Yul Brynner was quite a bit shorter than Ingrid Bergman, and when platform a shoes were suggested, he refused.

He said to her 'I'll show the world what a horse you are!'

Tim Curry was hired to play the Joker on Batman: The Animated Series, but after recording four episodes, the producers decided his interpretation was too scary for children and he was replaced by Mark Hamill.

That, and the performance took a real toll on his voice.

And Mr. Curry was that vile clown in the mini-series 'It'.

Tim Curry played two roles played earlier by Charlton Heston. Heston played Cardinal Richelieu in the 1973 version of The Three Musketeers; Curry played him in the 1993 version. Heston played Long John Silver in the 1990 version of Treasure Island; Curry played him six years later in Muppet Treasure Island.

Desmond Llewelyn, the man most known for playing Bond gadget wizard 'Q', was himself a technophobe in real life. (There's irony for you.)
