Desmond Llewelyn, the man most known for playing Bond gadget wizard 'Q', was himself a technophobe in real life. (There's irony for you.)

Hal Smith, who played Otis the town drunk on The Andy Griffith Show, never drank in real life.

The casting directors of Rocky IV turned down Dolph Lundgren for being too tall. He didn't get the part until he directly contacted Sylvester Stallone, who said he would cast Lundgren if he gained 20 lbs of muscle.

The cliché of the Frankenstein monster lurching forward with arms outstretched originated with Frankenstein Meets the Wolf Man. The monster was supposed to be blind, but scenes establishing this were deleted.

Time for an update: in 2016 there was Star Trek Beyond and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

Wes Craven wanted A Nightmare on Elm Street 3 to involve Freddy Krueger crossing over to the real world and menacing the actors from the first film. The studio rejected the idea, but he was able to use it seven years later in Wes Craven's New Nightmare.

The opening song in Muppets Most Wanted is "The Muppets... Again!" because this was the title of the film while it was in production.

During filming of the original 'Star Trek' series, George Takei, James Doohan, and Nichelle Nichols absolutely hated William Shatner.

Deforest Kelly and Leonard Nimoy seem to have gotten along with him.

Harrison Ford, then 35, was installing a door for Francis Ford Coppola when a studio executive asked him to read lines with actresses who were testing for a new film. The film was Star Wars.

Audrey Hepburn quite disliked Marilyn Monroe.
Joan Crawford loathed her.
Elizabeth Taylor referred to her as a ‘b—’ in a letter to a friend.
Jane Russel tried to be a friend to her.
Madonna imitated her in a video, but criticized her for not being a tougher person.
Marilyn Monroe actually idolized Jean Harlow and posed for a series of pictures, imitating Harlow.
Harlow rests in a pink marble faced crypt in an off-limits hallway in a beautiful old Los Angeles mausoleum.
Marilyn Monroe is in a white marble faced crypt in an outside location accessible to the public.
The marble panel is constantly being replaced, even after all these years, due to all the lipstick prints left by her many fans who ‘kiss her goodbye ‘ when they visit her.
