It's only 14 questions. I think this might be helpful to give to many people in both medical and psych settings. They can then be referred to get further testing if it indicates they have traits of autism. It's kind of like those tests for Bipolar. They are useful for referrals.
I just hope this isn't used as some sort of checklist like certain others. I know some psychiatrists use this 10 question? checklist for Bipolar, depression, so on. It's like...uhm...that's only useful for determining if one MIGHT have it. You have to take context, observations, and other variables into consideration.
It's a cheap way of helping people get referrals, though. This would be AMAZING to give to all mental health patients, especially to avoid misdiagnosis.
