Understandable, Brazilian Portuguese sounds leagues better than European Portuguese. I know from Portuguese learners and linguists alike that this is a popular opinion.

I've not gotten to hear what national Portuguese sounds like. is it more guttural than Brazilian? I sorta like the count of Catalan, also.

S is pronounced like sh in European Portuguese. E sounds are dropped most of the time. Estou would sound like "sh-ow" instead of "eh-st-ow". Catalan sounds beautiful, a compromise between Spanish and French.

I likely will not be able to learn all of these but perhaps a handful would be nice. more German, French, Italian, and at least some Russian and Finnish. Any of the Scandinavian languages really.

I'm learning Portuguese with the Duolingo app. I'm also seeking sources for European Portuguese. I don't mind if I end up with hints off different accents, since that seems unavoidable given the preponderance of the Brazilian version in US language instruction.

I know a lot of languages too.
6 fluent speaking + 3 passive (now working on katakana).
Is so hard to discover people that i can swap 5+ languages at the same time during conversations.

Those are just half the languages that I plan on learning. Being a polyglot is on my bucket list (old age bucket list that is).
It is also a dream of mine to take the every English word (or close enough) and take the shortest translation of each word into any indo-European language. For example ‘and’ would be ‘y’ the Spanish translation. Every language has some short words that translate into ridiculously long words in English. Basically a conglomerate of languages to take up the least amount of space on a piece of paper. May be a bit of a problem if some are pronounced similar. Being homeschooled, I tried to do German instead of Spanish for my high school Foreign Language credit, but I went to a school one year that required Spanish so it through me off.

Do you speak fluent Czech or just get by talking Slovak to Czech speakers instead? :D

That's cool! Maybe I can practice my not-yet-fluent Czech with you.

Nice, when you would pm me a contact to your favorite platform. I would perform DE and ES, or a new language that i don't actually know.
PS! I was a broker for long time, that incrased a lot the amount of time that i can non-stop talk.

Sure I'll send you a pm. I don't speak German or Spanish but if you want I can teach you Turkish haha. Also I'm not too bad at Japanese. Used to be fluent but have forgotten some of it since I stopped using it 5 years ago.
