I like a variety of music but particularly enjoy songs with an obscure meaning that you have to think about, examples include songs by The Decemberists or Of monsters and Men.
Books:
Too many to name, I was a big fan of Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings when I was growing up. I also enjoy "A song of ice and fire" and most things by Steven King.
TV Shows/Movies:
Again, too many to name, here's a few; Band of Brothers, Westworld, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead, The Shawshank Redemption, Forrest Gump.

I work as a Support Worker (REW) in a specialist college for those with an ASC, co-morbid conditions or learning difficulties who can at times present behaviours that challenge. Our service users consist of both higher and lower functioning students.
Plans for the future?
I'm quite easy going in terms of careers and have no particular ambition, I would like is to be entirely self sufficient, with my own property (no rent) and family.

This is my first time using a Forum so please forgive me if I've formatted anything incorrectly or am ignorant of forum ettiquete. For the most part I have learnt to hide my Asperger's entirely and as such no one I work with or socialise with knows about it. Whilst I am happy for the most part, I do have feelings of isolation and an inabillity to connect with others in what I perceive to be a meaningful fashion. I joined WrongPlanet in order to connect with others who have had similar experiences and hopefully strike up a few friendships. When were you diagnosed?: I have no official diagnosis but a number of people - including family friends who are professionals have told me they believe I am on the spectrum. So far I have resisted official diagnosis.

Favorite subjects: Archaeology - I am most interested in Bronze and Iron Age society in Northern Europe, but I am always learning more. I also enjoy history, physics and biology.

Year/Grade: I have a masters in archaeology.

Favorite music: It varies a lot, the most consistent examples include bands such as Halestorm, Shinedown, Muse, Alter Bridge, and singers such as Amanda Palmer.
