Hobbies and Interests: Music is my main interest. I sing, play several instruments, and I compose classical music. I'm also fascinated with neuroscience and plan to major in that when I go to college. Then there's Magic: The Gathering - I don't like spending a lot of money on decks, but I do enjoy playing it. Cockatrice, anyone?
Why are you here? I wanted to hear how others perceived the world and how autism affects different people.
When were you diagnosed? (skip if you don't have a disorder): I was diagnosed when I was three (which is surprising, considering that I'm female and I was diagnosed in 2001).
Favorite subjects: My favorite subject is music, but I also enjoy logic-related classes (such as math and science). I enjoy English when I have a good teacher, especially the grammar component of it.
Year/Grade: Soon-to-be college freshman
Favorite music: Classical music (the newer, the better), jazz, and alternative. Some favorites:
Composers: Debussy, Mahler, Shostakovitch, Ticheli, Whitacre, Mackey, most other post-1990s concert band composers
Artists/bands: Panic! At The Disco, Twenty One Pilots, Regina Spektor, Sia, Jason Mraz
Books: I don't read as often as I should, but I loved The Glass Castle by Jeanette Walls, Room by Emma Donoghue, Lord of the Flies (I forget who the author is), and We Were The Mulvaneys by Joyce Carol Oates.
TV shows/Movies: Bob's Burgers, The Simpsons, Brain Games, most Disney and Nickelodeon movies, and Tom and Jerry.
Instrument: In order of expertise: voice (if you consider it an instrument) - alto/tenor, clarinet (soprano, bass, alto), saxophone (alto, tenor), ukulele, piano, trumpet, and flute. I used to play others (trombone and french horn), but I don't anymore.
Do you like sports? Nah. I like fencing, playing ping-pong, and playing the occasional game of basketball, but nah.
Family: Mother, father*, 19-year-old brother**, and 30-year-old brother*.
* = not diagnosed, but I have a good feeling that they're autistc

Clothing: Usually a t-shirt or a rad sweater, jeans/leggings, flip-flops/sneakers, and no jewelry except my watch

Job: None at the moment, but I have worked at a couple different summer camps and as a babysitter, and I'll be working at a performing arts summer camp in a couple weeks.
Plans for the future? Possibly researching neuroscience, possibly composing music, possibly being a software developer, possibly a combo of two of those.
Any comments? I feel that I'm able to articulate my experience with autism well, so I do so whenever the situation is right. Most people can't tell that I'm on the spectrum, either, which makes me feel like an autism ninja.

Why are you here? Aspergers (I think mild ADD as well); I want to be able to get advice from other aspies on related topics, and to make some friends. (:
When were you diagnosed? When I was 6.
Year/Grade: Certificate student

Instrument: In order of expertise: voice (Reasonable level) piano & guitar (Absolute beginner)
Do you like sports? Not really. I went skiing recently and that was part fun, part scary, and totally exhausting. I like using a rowing machine, hiking, and some forms of hunting/fishing
Family: Father, (NT) Mother, (autistic traits) 16 yr old brother, (dyslexic) 9 yr old sister (NT) 8 yr old sister (Aspergers/HFA and ADHD)
Clothing: I try to get it second hand so I don't contribute to human trafficking or sweat shop trade; whatever the thrift shops have in my size, and I like a bit of colour.
How did you find this website? I actually don't remember. I think I was searching for aspie facebook groups etc and it popped up.
Job: Not at the moment, but I was a fish and chip shop assistant/waitress for about two years, and I've done lots of babysitting.
Plans for the future? I want to be in Christian voluntary service probably as a linguist.

Age: I'm 17 years old.
Location: Brazil.
Hobbies and Interests: Gaming, seeing TV series and films as hobbies and I have interest in engineering and recently meet similar people in this page.
Why are you here? I want to meet people that share some similarities, get new hobbies and knowledge.
When were you diagnosed? (skip if you don't have a disorder): I have never been officially diagnosed with ASD (although have all to), in my childhood I was diagnosed with ADHD, and most recently with SAD.
Favorite subjects: Oldities and Sciences.
Year/Grade: Last year of the High School.
Favorite music: I have a very large sound sense, but particularly I like synthpop and industrial music.
Books: H. P. Lovecraft, Nietzsche and Paulo Coelho.
TV shows/Movies: Twin Peaks, Mr. Robot, Bron/Broen and Supernatural.

Family: Well, I live only with my mother, regularly meet with my father and sometimes with other family members.

Age: 19
Location: Kansas
Hobbies and Interests: The Sims games/other video games, Halloween/Autumn time, crafting, aliens/other paranormal things, planets, mythical/mystical creatures, etc.
Why are you here? To attempt to make friends and learn more about aspergers
When were you diagnosed?(skip if you don't have a disorder): I was diagnosed with GAD and Agoraphobia in december of 2014, and am currently in the process of being diagnosed with Aspergers/ASD (as of Summer 2016)
Favorite subjects: In school, Art and Science were my favorites but I always excelled in English classes
Year/Grade: Starting my first year of college soon
Favorite music: hmmm.. i honestly like a bit of everything
Books: Well I don't read as much as I'd like to, but A Wrinkle In Time is by far my favorite book I've read
TV shows/Movies: Pretty Little Liars, most old Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network cartoons, a few of the new CN cartoons (especially Steven Universe), movie wise.... all the Halloweentown movies, Scooby Doo movies... there's a lot to name.
Instrument: I use to play Piano and would like to learn ukulele or acoustic guitar soon
Do you like sports? Never been the biggest fan, no. But I can watch baseball or hockey or Nascar

How did you find this website? Once in a while I'd look up a question or topic and it would bring me to a forum on here so I figured I'd finally just sign up
Job: I don't have one yet, I've been unable to hold one, but what I'm going to school for should get me a job within 2 years and I'll be able to work from home so it's a win/win
Plans for the future? My biggest goal right now is to finally move in with my boyfriend. We have plans in the making but it's going to still be a year or two before it can happen. I'd also like to be able to land a steady job within my field and be able to hold it.
Any comments? If anyone would like to talk, I'm always open for it.
